Dr. Eric Richardson

 

Ask Dr. Eric Richardson what his professional priority is, and he will tell you that it’s providing excellent and compassionate patient care that exceeds the highest standard of clinical endodontic practice.

A native of Beaverton, Michigan, Dr. Richardson graduated as valedictorian of his high school class and went on to study at the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, he earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and played on the varsity football team as a kick returner and defensive back. He was a member of the university’s Ivy League championship team of 2000. His athletic prowess was later recognized with his induction into the Beaverton High School Athletic Hall of Fame. After earning his undergraduate degree from Penn, he returned home to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Richardson graduated with numerous distinctions and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He went on to Marquette University, in Milwaukee, and completed his master’s degree in endodontics. He then returned to Michigan and joined Professional Endodontics in 2010.

Dr. Richardson believes that to provide patients with the best care possible, clinicians must stay abreast of the latest treatment techniques. With his penchant for continuing education, Dr. Richardson periodically prepares and delivers lectures to his colleagues in the dental field.

His scientific papers have been published in Dentistry Today and Autonomic Neuroscience, and he is a member of several professional associations including the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Association of Endodontists, the Michigan Dental Association, the Oakland County Dental Society, the Macomb County Dental Society, and the Detroit District Dental Society. Dr. Richardson also believes in providing care for those in need. He was a founding member of the Quito Project Dental Clinic in Quito, Ecuador, and donates his time to provide care through several area outreach programs. He has been named an Hour Detroit magazine Top Dentist.

Dr. Richardson is married to a local dentist and has a son and daughter that keep him on the move. He enjoys being active outdoors and watching his children grow.
