Dr. Louis Shoha

Dr. Shoha is dedicated to his patients, ensuring they receive outstanding endodontic care. It is a trait shared by all the practitioners at Professional Endodontics. Dr. Shoha also offers holistic root canal services out of our Clarkston office.
Dr. Shoha is a native of Detroit and one of the many dentists in the Shoha family who have served the Metropolitan Detroit area. He attended Central Michigan University for three years and was selected for early admission to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1983. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the university and graduated in 1987. He was valedictorian of his class and the recipient of several scholastic awards. He was subsequently inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Following graduation, Dr. Shoha continued his studies at the University of Michigan and was awarded a master’s degree in endodontics in 1989. That same year, he joined the Professional Endodontics practice.
Committed to the advancement of dentistry and the specialty of endodontics, Dr. Shoha is an energetic member of several professional organizations. These include the American Association of Endodontics, the Michigan Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Oakland County Dental Association, the Macomb County Dental Association, the Detroit District Dental Association, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. In addition, Dr. Shoha retains his ties to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as an adjunct clinical professor in endodontics.
Service to the community is a priority for Dr. Shoha. He has participated in Michigan Donated Dental Services since 2004 and the Michigan Dental Association Foundation’s Mission of Mercy providing dental treatment for the disadvantaged.
Dr. Shoha is married to a dentist and has three children. Beyond his focus on endodontics, he enthusiastically pursues a number of interests including martial arts, yoga, skiing, and mountain-biking.
